5483m
MAX ALTITUDEA trek desgined for those who do not want to choose between Gokyo Ri and Everest Base Camp and want to experience the magnificance of both these famous trails on a single trip. Once described as “the best viewpoint in the Everest Region,” the summit of Gokyo Ri (5483m) is the highlight of this trek and offers such a panorama of the Everest region and the Gokyo lake system. On a clear day, besides the four highest mountains Cho Oyu (8153 m), Lhotse (8501m), Makalu (8475 m) and Everest (8850m) many other named and unnamed mountains contribute to the view from the summit of Gokyo Ri. While Everest Base Camp is an iconic point from where one can get a glimpse of the infamous Khumbhu Ice fall. Our trek also takes you over the Cho La, a high point in the valley making this itinerary a complete package to experience the very best of what the Khumbu Valley has to offer.
Please Note: From 2024, we are offering the departure where you can purchase your own food at tea-houses and hence it is not a part of our package. The pricing too reflects this change in offering.
₹30000 / $500 - Booking Amount
If it becomes necessary to cancel your trip, you must notify the office immediately in writing. The following terms would be applicable.
The tour price is quoted as a package. No partial refunds or credit will be given for services not used. We recommend that you obtain cancellation travel insurance upon booking. A Challenging trek would typically last for about two weeks and will take you to altitudes above 5000m / 16,500ft. A routine day will have over 6 hours of hiking and will involve a great deal of ascending and descending on sparsely tread trails. The terrain will be varied on these treks and you can expect walking on moraines / boulder fields and cross small glaciers. Acclimatisation is a concern, the itineraries are carefully planned and allow everyone to acclimatise to the increasing altitude. Exposure to cold temperatures is quite high on these treks, all participants are expected to have good quality equipment & clothing to enjoy these treks. A mix of wilderness, altitude, terrain and duration makes these treks challenging. Suited for people with high fitness levels looking for a challenge and capable of enduring two weeks in the outdoors.
Internal Flights: Please note that poor weather can cause delays on the flights on Kathmandu-Lukla sector. At the end of the trip you should book the afternoon flights out from Kathmandu which gives you a day against delay on the flight back from Lukla. Helicopters can sometimes fly when the scheduled fixed wing aircraft cannot. If your group is offered the opportunity to use a chartered helicopter, either flying up to Lukla or back to Kathmandu, the cost will be shared between those choosing to take this option. In the extremely unlikely event that flight cancellations cause you to miss your homeward international flight, we will render all assistance, but cannot be held liable for any extra costs incurred. You could explore having an insurance for your flight cancellations.
